1913 International Exhibition of Modern Art
The 1913 Armory Show was the first exhibition mounted by the Association of American Painters and Sculptors. Held from February 17 to March 15, the exhibition became a legendary watershed date in the history of American art. This project, created by Shelly Staples for the American Studies Program at the University of Virginia, attempts to recreate the show as it was in 1913, with images of some works that were present there.
