If you are interested in purchasing something on the libraries' behalf, please consult our wish lists:

If you are interested in donating your own personal materials to the Libraries, read the scope and exclusion statements in our collection development policy to see if your gift would be a good fit.

We request that you prepare a list of the titles, including author, year of publication and format ahead of time and send that to us. A form (PDF) is provided to assist you with this process.

Donation Policies:
  • Upon receipt, all donations become the property of the Seattle Art Museum Libraries.
  • The Libraries reserve the right to determine retention, location, cataloging treatment and other considerations relating to the use of donated materials.
  • Materials not selected for inclusion in our collection may be sold, donated to another library, recycled or disposed. When items are sold, proceeds are used to support the Libraries.
