Donations to the Seattle Art Museum Libraries

We gratefully welcome donated titles to the Libraries.

If you are interested in purchasing something on the libraries' behalf, please consult our wish lists:

• Asian Art Books
• African, American, Ancient Mediterranean and Islamic, European, Decorative Arts, Native American, Modern/Contemporary, Oceanic and Australian Aboriginal Books
  
  

If you are interested in donating your own personal materials to the Libraries, read the scope and exclusion statements in our collection development policy to see if your gift would be a good fit.

We request that you prepare a list of the titles, including author, year of publication and format ahead of time and send that to us. A form (PDF) is provided to assist you with this process.

• Upon receipt, all donations become the property of the Seattle Art Museum Libraries.
• The Libraries reserve the right to determine retention, location, cataloging treatment and other considerations relating to the use of donated materials.
• Materials not selected for inclusion in our collection may be sold, donated to another library, recycled or disposed. When items are sold, proceeds are used to support the Libraries.
