Where Earth Meets Art: Experiencing Art and Nature

September 9, 2008–June 19, 2009 (no tours November 26, 2008–March 2, 2009)

Grades K–1

  • Option 1: 45-min. program (tour only)

Grades 2–12

Walk along the Olympic Sculpture Park’s Z-shaped path and experience large-scale sculpture and native plant life in diverse Northwest ecosystems. The Olympic Sculpture Park’s four unique precincts set the stage for a rich experience that encourages students to look more closely at art and nature. Beauty and the Beach: The Art and Science of Restoring a Shoreline

What does it take to restore a shoreline habitat for use by migrating juvenile salmon and provide a beautiful space for the display of art? Explore the Olympic Sculpture Park’s unique pocket beach featuring native shoreline plantings and works of art by Roy McMakin, Mark di Suvero and Louise Bourgeois.
