SAM’s School and Teacher Programs offer unique learning opportunities at all three SAM locations. Through tours, outreach programs, hands-on workshops, events and classroom resources, these programs offer students and teachers opportunities to develop critical understandings of art and culture and their relationships to our own lives. On the School and Teacher Programs web pages you can also download free lesson plans, explore online activities or use the Wyckoff Teacher Resource Center’s searchable database.

Adult Public Programs represent the Museum’s interest in providing compelling activities in conjunction with the permanent collection and special exhibitions at all three SAM locations. The activities are presented in tandem with various cultural conversations that address ideas and concerns relevant to artists, the visitor and art on view in the Museum.

We’re actively working to connect art to life: listening to our
visitors and community and responding to their impressions. Our
community outreach efforts expand the ways we welcome the community,
deepen the SAM experience for our visitors and strengthen our partnerships.
We’re out in the community making the arts a part of everyday life
for people of all backgrounds and cultures.
