Grades 2–8:
- Option 1: 60-minute program (tour only)
- Option 2: 2-hour program (tour + art workshop)
Tour: Experience dynamic sculpture and native plant life in diverse ecosystems as you walk along the Olympic Sculpture Park’s Z-shaped pathway. Use inquiry-based discussions and activities to investigate the park and all it has to offer. This site for art and open green space is ideal for a variety of experiences and learning opportunities within the urban outdoor environment.
Art Workshop: Using recycled materials, tape and their imaginations, students make miniature sculptures inspired by the natural world.

Beauty and the Beach: The Art and Science of Restoring a Shoreline

Tour: Explore the shoreline of the Olympic Sculpture Park and discover a beautiful space that displays art while providing a shoreline habitat for migrating juvenile salmon. See the unique pocket beach featuring native shoreline plantings, marine life, and works of art by Roy McMakin, Mark di Suvero and Louise Bourgeois.
Art Workshop: Students create a nature journal from recycled and reusable materials, design an artistic cover, and write journal entries based on observations.
