See Art! Make Art! Have Fun!

Three fun-filled weeks of imagination and creativity for children in grades 1–5! Each week is a different experience. Kids can attend one week or all three. We guarantee they'll make art and new friends at SAM Camp 2012!

Registration

Early registration February 1 through April 1:

$325/week for SAM members
$340/week for the general public

Registration after April 1, 2012:
$360/week for everyone

Registration Requirements

All families must sign and mail in a set of liability forms and submit a registration form for each participating child.

Week One

Globe Trotters: Art From Around the World

July 9–13, 2012
Drop-off & pick-up location: Seattle Asian Art Museum

Are you ready to put your art on the map? SAM campers will make collages, paintings and sculptures in response to the world class SAM collection of art from around the globe. Along the way they will create their own passports, mixed media maps, masks and more. This week will also include fun music workshops too.

Week Two

Time Travelers: Art Past and Present

July 16–20, 2012
Drop-off & pick-up location: Olympic Sculpture Park

SAM has a timeless collection of world art that is just right for young artists to explore. Participants will go back in time exploring art from the Pacific Northwest and across the continents! Time capsules, comics, futuristic portraits and dress-up are just part of the adventure!

Week Three

Planet Heroes: Art & the Environment

July 23–27, 2012
Drop-off & pick-up location: Olympic Sculpture Park

Who wants to be a hero for planet Earth? SAM campers will create their own green art and learn about environmentalism as they explore the world-famous Olympic Sculpture Park and SAM Downtown. They will make super-hero costumes from recycled fashion, create trash sculptures, and learn the everyday actions they can do with their families back home to save our planet!
