The first painting is from the early Renaissance and is in the style of the Florentine school. artist: Jacopo del Sellaio , Italian, 1441/2-1493 title: St. Jerome date: ca. 1485 medium: Tempera on wood panel dimensions: 16 9/16 x 10 3/4 in. (42 x 27.3 cm) The second photo is done by an unknown artist and portrays a scholar. He looks like an important man. artist: Korean title: Portrait of a Scholar date: 18th - 19th century medium: dimensions: 55 x 33 1/2 in. (139.7 x 85.09 cm) These dudes both look like important men. Both were teachers, according to my research. The colors are similar in the paintings, but the St. Jerome painting has much more detail and is scenic. The Korean scholar painting is very symmetrical and my eye is attracted to that.
