What
Party in the Park, SAM’s rock-and-roll birthday bash, will be a dynamic evening filled with art for the senses. Party in the Park will showcase:

  • Hallucination City, a symphony for 100 electric guitars written by the highly influential avant-garde composer Glenn Branca and performed by local guitarists
  • An energetic performance by Super Diamond, the nation’s best Neil Diamond cover band
  • Dancing the night away with music from our area's best DJs
  • Drinks and eats served throughout the evening

Tickets

Tickets for the Party in the Park are no longer available online. They can be purchased at the door beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets may be purchased with cash, credit card or check.

What is the suggested attire for Party in the Park?

The attire is “park chic,” so dress stylishly for the weather.

Is valet parking available?

Valet parking service, at the corner of Western Avenue and Broad Street, is provided for guests with $275 Premier Individual Tickets. All other guests are welcome to park in any of the nearby paid parking lots.

What will the proceeds from Party in the Park benefit?

All funds raised by Party in the Park will support SAM’s artistic and educational programs, which continue to enrich the Puget Sound area.

Will there be a no-host bar?

All available beverages and food will be included in your ticket price.

Can I participate in Symphony No. 13 (Hallucination City) with composer Glenn Branca?

SAM and Glenn Branca are seeking 80 guitarists and 20 bass players to perform on May 16 at Party in the Park. Musicians must be able to attend two rehearsals on May 14 and 15 from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., be able to read standard staff notation and follow a part measure by measure. For more information about volunteering as a musician contact glenn@glennbranca.com and you will be sent detailed information.
