Art Ladder
Artist Created Experience (ACE) ProjectSAM sought to activate the Grand Staircase in its free public space, now known as the Art Ladder. Inspiring a sense of discovery and play, the Artist Created Experience (ACE) Project is an exciting destination for kids of all ages. Fostering intellectual and physical play for varied audiences, the ACEproject redefines the role artists can play in shaping museums. In its inaugural installation, SAM has commissioned three works by Seattle-based artist Jason Puccinelli. This installation has created a level of continuity throughout the Art Ladder that challenges visual perception and engages the viewer in a game of looking. Explore this fascinating project! The current installation of the ACEproject consist of three installations by Seattle-based artist Jason Puccinelli. Each of Puccinelli's installations have a great sense of discovery. They appear distorted unless viewed from a special angle or with a special instrument. This is known as anamorphosis. These pieces will complement the public corridor and create a destination for visitors of all ages to engage in looking at museums and art in new ways. The ACEproject Installations
