Winter in the Park: Kids' Saturdays

How do cities and nature affect the other? Take inspiration from Roxy Paine’s Split and the city buildings surrounded by the Puget Sound to explore how people can help nature in the middle of a city. Bring your family for a fun-filled afternoon learning about art and the environment at the park.

Kid and Family Yoga, 10:15-11 am
Start your Saturday with this yoga class for kids and their caregivers led by 8 Limbs Yoga Centers. Bring your own mat and water! Class will be held in the Alvord Art Lab.

SAM Creates, 11 am - 2 pm
Construct your own eco-friendly, futuristic vehicle to travel through trees and city streets with artist Janet Fagan. Grab a cardboard box from home and get creative turning it into a vehicle for an indoor “drive-in” movie.

Park Adventure, noon

How fast can a tree drink water? Learn this and more by joining Forterra in an outdoor game exploring how water is used in natural and urban environments. Grab your rain gear and explore the park outside!

Storytime, 12:20 pm
Grab a blanket and a snack to cozy up for a quick story about our environment!
