What are SAM SHOP hours?

Typically the store keeps the same hours as the museum. However, the Seattle Asian Art Museum store closes 15 minutes earlier than the museum. SAM Downtown hours apply.


What forms of payment does SAM SHOP accept?

SAM SHOP accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, traveler's checks, personal checks and cash.


Does the SHOP sell gift certificates?

What is the membership discount at SAM SHOP?

SAM members receive15% off all regularly priced merchandise. This discount is subject to change.

What is SAM SHOP's return policy?

We accept exchanges, store credit and credit card refunds if accompanied by the original sales receipt within 30 days of purchase. All cash purchases and items returned without a receipt will be exchanged or given store credit.

I would like to sell my product in SAM SHOP. Who should I contact?

Please contact one of our buyers. For books, please email bookbuyer@seattleartmuseum.org. For all other store merchandise and children’s books, please email giftbuyer@seattleartmuseum.org. It may take us 1–2 weeks to respond to your inquiry.

Can I browse SAM SHOP's stock online?

Not yet. We do hope to have an online store in the future.

Can I have my purchase shipped to me?

We are happy to ship most purchases depending on the size and fragility of the item. In some cases customers will be asked to arrange shipping themselves and we will work with the shippers to help the package arrive safely at the intended destination. Shipping and handling costs start at $10 and are subject to increase depending on size, weight and destination. We are not responsible for any customs costs once the merchandise leaves the United States.

I saw a product in the downtown location. Can I purchase it at the Seattle Asian Art Museum?

All three stores are connected and managed by the same people. Transferring merchandise is not a problem.
