Plestcheeff Auditorium

Storm Warning (Stuart Heisler, 1950). Ginger Rogers, Ronald Reagan, Doris Day, Steve Cochran. In 35 mm, 93 min.

The night wind blows hot then cool, flaming your desire but making you wary. The big score will bring you all the money in the world and the woman of your dreams. But the breeze is whistling a blues tune that’s got your name on it.

The museum’s film noir series (called "the granddaddy of the world’s film noir festivals" by the Los Angeles Times) celebrates its thirty-first season this year. Thanks to Scarecrow Video, TalkingRain Beverage Company and Borracchini’s Bakery, we’ll enjoy our usual opening night party immediately after the first film. Remember that tickets to enter the alluring, dangerous world of noir sell out faster than a speeding black sedan; the Seattle Post-Intelligencer called them "the hottest film series tickets in town."

Other films in this series include:

October 9: Highway 301
October 16: Tomorrow Is Another Day
October 23: Johnny O'Clock
October 30: Pickup on South Street
November 6: The Man Between
November 13: Wicked Woman
November 20: Black Widow
December 4: The Night Holds Terror
December 11: A Kiss Before Dying

Members: $58
Adults: $65

Prices above are for entire film series. To purchase series tickets, email boxoffice@seattleartmuseum.org or call the Box Office at 206.654.3121. Series tickets go on sale August 19.
