July 30, 2009
2:30–3:30 pm
Simonyi Special Exhibition Galleries

The exhibition Target Practice is an international, historical survey that traces how, in the years after the end of World War II, artists launched relentless attacks on the conventions of painting. This 60-minute tour includes works by well-known artists like Robert Rauschenberg, Andy Warhol and Jasper Johns, while also introducing lesser-known figures involved in the dismantling of the practice of putting paint on canvas.
