Celebrating Wildflowers

SAM teams up with Washington Rare Plant Care and Conservation to celebrate native plants and the role that they play in nature and in our lives. Discover the world of mosses, flowers, pollinators, natural dyes and more!

Create green art using recycled materials, and explore games and displays from SAM partners. Activities for all ages. Carpooling and alternative transportation are encouraged!

Performances and tours:

1:30 and 3 pm — Guided native plant tours courtesy of Washington Rare Plant Care and Conservation

2:30 pm (NEW TIME) — Urban Wilderness Project's Griot Youth Troupe

Activity stations by:
Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture, King County Noxious Weed Board, Mandy Greer (local artist), Seattle Art Museum, Skokomish Tribe, TASTE Café, University of Washington Botanic Gardens Education, Washington Native Plant Society, Washington Rare Plant Care and Conservation

Event will be held indoors in the event of inclement weather.

Free and open to the public. No registration required.
