Patricia Junker, the Ann M. Barwick Curator of American Art, describes the artist’s iconic creation of the modern American woman in his painting Chop Suey and examines the experiences that shaped Hopper’s career. Attendees are invited to remain after the program and enjoy the annual holiday coffee, tea and cookies event sponsored by the SAM Volunteer Association.
