Pam McClusky, Curator of Art of Africa and Oceania, describes A Bead Quiz, her installation of international beads incorporated into objects for personal adornment or used to label or identify utilitarian objects.

Learn more about SAM’s collections and exhibitions from curators and local experts. These morning lectures are scheduled on the first Friday of every month, when seniors age 62 and over are admitted to SAM installations for free and to special exhibitions at a reduced price.
