SAM is proud to present a special screening in collaboration with the Sundance Institute’s Native American Program. The program begins with Andrew Okpeaha MacLean’s 2008 short film Sikumi (On the Ice), in which an Inuit hunter becomes a witness to a crime. In Miss Navajo (2006), William Luther documents the Miss Navajo Nation competition, which requires contestants to answer historical questions in the Navajo language and showcase traditional knowledge.
Due to the overwhelming response to this event, we are no longer taking reservations for the 7 pm screening. A second screening at 8:45 pm has been added. Check out SAM on Twitter, Facebook and MySpace
