SAM Tours
My Favorite Things tours bring some of the most opinionated and fascinating artists, cultural producers and community figures into the galleries to discuss their favorite works of art. This week SAM offers a tour with Elissa Favero, a SAM Education and Public Programs intern and a graduate student in art history at the University of Washington. Before moving to Seattle, Elissa worked as an educator at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, D.C. Her tour will connect selected works from Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness: American Art from the Yale University Art Gallery with contemporary pieces from the exhibition Titus Kaphar: History in the Making.
Free with museum admission. Tour meets at the entrance to the Fourth Floor special exhibition galleries. After Hours print sponsor: SeattleWeekly SAM is a recipient of The Wallace Foundation Excellence Award, created to support exemplary arts organizations to pioneer effective practices to engage more people in high-value arts activities.
