Cinematic visionary Michelangelo Antonioni sides with campus rebels as they confront an overly aggressive, materialistic and racist American culture in Zabriskie Point.. Tony Conrad’s The Flicker deconstructs cinema into its component parts as flashing black-and-white frames.

This series of three feature films and experimental short works complements the exhibition Target Practice: Painting Under Attack 1949–78.
