Creatively Speaking: The Artist's Point of View
Iain Baxter&
June 25, 2009
7–8 pm
Nordstrom Lecture Hall

Iain Baxter&, one of Canada’s earliest conceptual artists and co-founder of N.E. Thing Co., uses diverse mediums to create challenging works that question accepted orthodoxies of painting. In conjunction with the opening of Target Practice: Painting Under Attack 1949–78, Baxter& speaks on his seminal artistic practice with Michael Darling, Jon & Mary Shirley Curator of Modern & Contemporary Art.

The Creatively Speaking series provides a forum for artists to explain the philosophies underlying their work and for audiences to ask the questions they rarely have a chance to ask.

Please note: This lecture has been moved to the Nordstrom Lecture Hall.
