Family Programs
Celebrate the opening of two phenomenal shows: Alexander Calder: A Balancing Act and Michelangelo Public and Private. Family Day is a FREE event full of art making, live performances, special tours and more. Don't miss great activities from African American Writer's Alliance, Coyote Central, Gage Academy of Art, Giant Magnet, Pratt Fine Arts Center, Seattle Symphony and Page Ahead. Starting at 11 am, we'll have live performances by James Whetzel, Joanne Klein, Orkestar Zirkonium, Choir of the Sound, Renaissance Singers and Dunava. Help give back. Bring a new children's book to donate and Page Ahead Children's Literacy Program will share it with a deserving child! See SAM SHOP for book ideas or bring a favorite children's book you love. NOTE: Please no used or religious/holiday books. Page Ahead's greatest need is for picture books.
Family Day is FREE but does not include adult admission to the galleries. Suggested adult admission is $15; $12 for seniors 62 and over, and military with ID; and $9 for students with ID and youth ages 13–17. Children age 12 and under are admitted free. Presented by ![]()
