SAM Talks
Join Chiyo Ishikawa, SAM’s Susan Brotman Deputy Director for Art and Curator of European Painting & Sculpture, in the studio as she discusses Michelangelo Public and Private: Drawings for the Sistine Chapel and Other Treasures from the Casa Buonarroti. This exhibition brings drawings by one of art history’s greatest figures to Seattle for the first time. Drawn exclusively from the collection of the Casa Buonarroti in Florence, the show explores Michelangelo’s complex personality and influence. Back by popular demand, the SAM in the Studio series features a presentation by a SAM curator on a current or upcoming exhibition, followed by a discussion with the audience. Enjoy $3 glasses of house wine (proceeds benefit SAM) and complimentary hors d’oeuvres selected from the menu of BOKA Kitchen + Bar. All of this takes place within the intimate setting of Studio 1000 at Hotel 1000, located at 1000 First Avenue in downtown Seattle.
Free and open to the public. For more information, call 206. 957.1000. Check out SAM on Twitter and
