If you know where to look in Rome and Florence, you can see most of Michelangelo’s work—and a lot more. In an hour-long presentation, Rick Steves guides us through the delights and the challenges of Rome and Florence. His goal: to help us both enjoy the explosion of creativity and humanist spirit that came with the Renaissance and grapple with the practical challenges of a smart and economic visit there in 2010.

Rick Steves is producer and host of the PBS TV series Rick Steves’ Europe and the public radio program Travels with Rick Steves. He authors 30 guidebooks on European travel, and he founded and runs Europe Through the Back Door in Edmonds, Washington.

Free with museum admission.
