"Michelangelo Wednesdays" Gallery Talk
Patricia Junker and Sarah Berman
December 30, 2009
3–3:15 pm
Simonyi Special Exhibition Galleries

SAM curators lead these weekly gallery talks on various topics related to Michelangelo. The 15-minute talks are a unique opportunity to learn about this great Renaissance painter in a conversational, intimate setting.

This week's talk features Patricia Junker, the Ann M. Barwick curator of American Art, and Sarah Berman, Collections Coordinator and Research Associate. Their talk, "Michelangelo Backwords and Forwards," looks at how the sculptures of antiquity informed Michelangelo and how his work influenced American sculpture.
