Golden Week Lectures on Japanese Art Tim Clark and Julie Nelson Davis April 24, 2010 2–4 pm Stimson Auditorium

British Museum curator and ukiyo-e expert Tim Clark and University of Pennsylvania professor Julie Nelson Davis are the featured speakers at this annual lecture on Japanese art and culture. Clark will discuss how Utagawa Kuniyoshi dodged the censors, while Nelson Davis offers an innovative approach to the pictures of Kitagawa Utamaro.
