My Favorite Things tours bring some of the most opinionated and fascinating artists, cultural producers and community figures into the galleries to discuss their favorite works of art. This week's tour features Sylvia Wolf, director of the Henry Art Gallery and former curator of photography at the Whitney Museum of American Art. Wolf will talk about portraiture, photography and Polaroids in conjunction with the exhibition love fear pleasure lust pain glamour death—Andy Warhol Media Works.

Sylvia Wolf was named director of the Henry Art Gallery in April 2008. She previously served the Whitney Museum of American Art as endowed chair and head of the department of photography from 1999 to 2004 and as adjunct curator from 2004 to 2008. Wolf came to the Whitney in 1999 from the Art Institute of Chicago, where she organized over 25 photography exhibitions during her 12-year tenure. She is the author of over 12 books on contemporary art and photography, including Polaroids: Mapplethorpe, Ed Ruscha and Photography and Visions from America: Photographs from the Whitney Museum of American Art 1940–2001.
