Kurt Cobain: About a Son (A.J. Schnack, 2007). In 35 mm, 94 min. In conjunction with Kurt, SAM Films will highlight a selection of documentaries and films that chronicle Kurt Cobain’s career and the grunge phenomenon in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Kurt Cobain: About a Son presents a moving, impressionistic meditation on Kurt Cobain that melds imagery of Aberdeen, Olympia and Seattle with unpublished audio tapes of Kurt talking about everything from "being a space-alien baby" and "screaming into the microphone instead of beating people up" to wanting to end his life because of chronic stomach pain.
