Last Days (Gus Van Sant, 2005). Digital projection, 97 min.

In conjunction with Kurt, SAM Films will highlight a selection of documentaries and films that chronicle Kurt Cobain’s career and the grunge phenomenon in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.

Inspired by Kurt Cobain’s life and death, and dedicated to him, Last Days is a fiction film about a rock star (a very Cobain-like Michael Pitt) in existential pain. He’s ready to end his life, but he can’t stop creating music. Last Days is a subdued, minimalist film that challenges the viewer’s narrative expectations.

Other films in this series include:

July 23: Hype!
July 30: Kurt and Courtney
August 13: Kurt Cobain: About a Son

Members: $22.00
Adults: $25.00

Prices above are for entire film series. Series tickets may be purchased at the Ticketing Desk at any of SAM's three sites, or over the phone with a credit card by calling the SAM Box Office at 206.654.3121.

Single-film tickets are $7 for everyone, sold day of show at the auditorium (cash only).
