Lisa Kinoshita’s work draws on the simple, powerful shapes found in nature. The metal work is clean and minimal, providing a quiet background for the expressive personalities of the stones themselves. Her jewelry is shaped by a modern aesthetic but she is also fascinated by the historical lore of gemstones, much of it rooted in pagan beliefs. Lisa studied metalsmithing at Pratt Fine Arts Center in Seattle and received the Charles Anders Memorial Scholarship for jewelry design.
