An artist in her own right, Dora Maar is featured in Picasso: Masterpieces from the Musée National Picasso, Paris through works on paper, the famous painting Portrait and Dora Maar and Maar’s own photographs of Picasso’s Guernica. In this lecture, Mary Ann Caws, author and Distinguished Professor of Comparative Literature, English, and French at the Graduate School of the City University of New York, discusses Maar’s life and work before, during and after her relationship with the Spanish artist.
