Picasso and Braque Go to the Movies (2010). 60 min.

In conjunction with Picasso: Masterpieces from the Musée National Picasso, Paris, we present the Northwest premiere of Arne Glimcher’s Picasso and Braque Go to the Movies, which proposes that the art of Cubist pioneers (and movie lovers) Picasso and Braque were influenced by cinematic plasticity and manipulation of form, time, space and point of view. With Martin Scorsese, Chuck Close, Julian Schnabel, Eric Fischl, John Richardson, and fascinating archival footage.

Other films in this series include:

November 19: The Mystery of Picasso
January 7: Surviving Picasso

Members: $18.00
