SAM Talks
Contemporary artist Mark Dion makes hybrid sculptures that combine architecture, environmental education and horticulture, connecting art and science. Commissioned by SAM, Dion created the Neukom Vivarium (2004–2006), a site-specific work for the Olympic Sculpture Park. Hear Dion discuss how his artistic practice approaches culture through the lens of nature and landscape.
