Alvord Art Lab

From Albrecht Dürer to Anselm Kiefer, watercolor has offered artists a direct and meaningful way of depicting the landscape.

Through demonstrations and discussions, this three-day watercolor workshop with Seattle urban plein air painter Christopher Martin Hoff will explore the unique interplay of art, architecture and landscape present at the Olympic Sculpture Park. Instruction will include strategies for creating engaging compositions, the use of color to build space, creating work that has a sense of place and general practices for an effective outdoor studio. All materials provided. All levels welcome.

All workshops in the series are Saturdays, 10 am–3 pm.
