August 5, 2011
6:30–7 pm
Simonyi Special Exhibition Galleries

My Favorite Things tours bring some of the most opinionated and fascinating artists, cultural producers and community figures into the galleries to discuss their favorite works of art. During Beauty & Bounty and Reclaimed, tour leaders illuminate works in both the special exhibitions and permanent collections. This week's tour features ecologist and Evergreen State College faculty member Nalini M. Nadkarni.

Dr. Nadkarni studies living organisms in forest canopies and carries out forest research in Costa Rica and the Olympic Peninsula. She forges partnerships with artists to gain insight complementing science and to communicate the importance of nature to broad public audiences.

Free with museum admission. Tour meets at the entrance to Beauty & Bounty.
