Explore the dynamic and at times controversial relationship between the work of Paul Gauguin and the Polynesian cultures he encountered, on this 60-minute tour of the special exhibition Gauguin and Polynesia: An Elusive Paradise. With approximately 50 paintings, sculptures and works on paper by Gauguin and 60 works from Pacific Island cultures, the exhibition will introduce visitors to Polynesian art and culture and show how Gauguin borrowed, adapted, and freely invented imagery as he created images for a European audience.

Tours are Tuesday–Wednesday at 1 & 2 pm; Thursday–Friday at 1, 2 & 7 pm; Saturday–Sunday at 11 am, 1 & 2pm
