Public Tour Colors of the Oasis: Central Asian Ikats July 1, 2012 noon–1 pm Fuller Garden Court

Explore the rich history and colorful mystery of 19th century ikat robes on this 60-minute tour of the special exhibition Colors of the Oasis: Central Asian Textiles. Featuring over 40 robes from the Textile Museum in Washington DC, this exhibition will recreate a sense of walking into a crowded market in the Oasis cities of Central Asia that were trading centers for people as far as India, China, Iran and Russia.

Tours are every Saturday and Sunday at noon.
