Event Details- DJ Aanshul spins global beats to keep you movin’ all night long.
- Indian dance performances by Pratidhwani Dance Group (8:30 and 10:30 pm)
- Das Dhoom melds traditional Indian instrumentation with electro-acoustic grooves. (9 and 10 pm)
- Learn Michael Jackson’s Thriller dance with Dance Belt. (8:45 and 9:45 pm)
- Inspired by the exhibition Our National Game on view in the third floor galleries, participate in Take Me Out to Play, an interactive performance art activity by Keeara Rhoades.
- Henna by Anju Singh
- Art making activities led by Romson Bustillo and Janet Fagan
- Blue Velvet Entertainment Presents performances by Bella Jovan, Inga Ingenue, Polly Wood and The Shaghai Pearl (9 and 10 pm)
- Special screening of Merce by Merce by Paik (1978), a tribute to avant-garde choreographer Merce Cunningham and 20th century artist Marcel Duchamp by Nam June Paik in collaboration with Charles Atlas, and Shigeko Kubota (9:30 and 11 pm)
- Curated by Amanda Manitach and Jennifer Borges Foster, Filter Literary Journal presents Anthony Sonnenberg and The Stranger’s Genius Award Winner John Osebold (9:45 pm)
- Members of the Seattle Chinese Orchestra play melodies live in the Luminous exhibition galleries.
- My Favorite Things: Highly Opinionated Tours led by actor Sarah Rudinoff, ArtZone host Nancy Guppy, composer Bryon Au Yong, Executive Director of the Merce Cunningham Dance Company Trevor Carlson, Luminous exhibition curator Catherine Roche and SAM staff Tina Lee and Sarah Berman
