SAM Tours
My Favorite Things tours bring some of the most opinionated and fascinating artists, cultural producers and community figures into the galleries to discuss their favorite works of art. During Luminous: The Art of Asia, guests will illuminate works in the special exhibition and permanent collection for these engaging tours. This week's tour features Sergey Smirnov, an advisor for ReGroup: SAM Contemporary Culture Club. Sergey Smirnov is an active member of the Seattle community. He has spent his life in service and is currently most involved with the visual and performing arts, social ventures and education. Smirnov is a fundraising professional at the Hamlin Robinson School, a Partner with Social Venture Partners Seattle and serves on the Board of Directors for Seattle Works. He has been nominated for the Seattle City Club People’s Choice Award and has received Volunteer of the Year awards from the Seattle Art Museum, Bellevue College and the City of Redmond.
Free with museum admission. Tour meets at the entrance to Luminous. SAM is a recipient of The Wallace Foundation Excellence Award, created to support exemplary arts organizations to pioneer effective practices to engage more people in high-value arts activities. Check out SAM on Twitter and
