Teen Programs
If you could pen a cityscape about Seattle what would you describe? This workshop uses the special exhibition Painting Seattle: Kamekichi Tokita and Kenjiro Nomura as a jumping off point to riff on connections to the city and its history, including the Japanese internment, through creative writing and poetry. Take a tour of Seattle’s most fascinating historical landmarks starting at SAM’s temporary record store in Pioneer Square. Then we’ll head to the Seattle Asian Art Museum to check out Painting Seattle. Please note: This workshop will not conclude at its original location. Public transportation is strongly encouraged. If travelling by car, please make arrangements for drop off at SAM’s Record Store, 406 Occidental Avenue South, and pick up at the Seattle Asian Art Museum, 1400 East Prospect.
