Chief Curator at the Nezu Museum in Tokyo and former John A. McCone Foundation Curator of Asian Art at SAM, Yukiko Shirahara returns to Seattle to present Four Accomplishments: ‘Chinese’ Subjects Popular in Japanese Painting. This talk examines the mysterious formation of the kin-ki-sho-ga theme found among fusuma screens featured in the exhibition Luminous: The Art of Asia.
