My Favorite Things tours bring some of the most opinionated and fascinating artists, cultural producers and community figures into the galleries to discuss their favorite works of art. During Gauguin and Polynesia: An Elusive Paradise, guests will illuminate works in the special exhibition and permanent collection for these engaging tours.This week's tour will be led by Seattle artist Jenny Heishman.
Heishman is the winner of the 2011 Betty Bowen Award. She received an MFA from Ohio State University in 1998. This year she was awarded a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant. She was the Artist-in-Residence at Florida’s Atlantic Center for the Arts in 2000; at the Pilchuck School of Glass, Washington in 2005 and at the Vermont Studio Center, Johnson Vermont in in 2006.
