My Favorite Things tours bring some of the most opinionated and fascinating artists, cultural producers and community figures into the galleries to discuss their favorite works of art. During Gauguin and Polynesia: An Elusive Paradise, guests will illuminate works in the special exhibition and permanent collection for these engaging tours. This week's tour will be led by Seattle writer Shawn Wong.

Shawn Wong is the author of the novels, Homebase and American Knees. Americanese, the film version of his second novel, will be released later this year. He is also the editor or co-editor of six anthologies of Asian American and American multicultural literature. He is currently at work on a third novel entitled, The Ancient and Occupied Heart of Greg Li.

Free with museum admission. Tour meets at the top of the escalator in the third floor galleries
