In Wayfinders: A Pacific Odyssey, present-day Polynesians affirm their cultural-spiritual identity on a 2,000-mile canoe voyage that incorporates oral traditions and archeological discoveries. Tahitians began riding surf two hundred years before Gauguin became a coastal dweller. In The Ultimate Wave: Tahiti American Kelly Slater and his Tahitian friend Raimana learn about island legends and become one with breath-taking waves.
