Ancestral Modern: Australian Aboriginal Art from the Kaplan & Levi Collection features over 100 objects from the late 20th to early 21st century. Across the continent of Australia, Aboriginal artists have developed an exuberant visual language that looks extremely modern, but depicts unexpected subjects. In this opening day program, co-curator of Ancestral Modern Pam McClusky discusses the rise of this dynamic and creative art movement.
