My Favorite Things tours bring some of the most opinionated and fascinating artists, cultural producers and community figures into the galleries to discuss their favorite works of art. During Ancestral Modern: Australian Aboriginal Art from the Kaplan & Levi Collection, guests will illuminate works in the special exhibition and permanent collection for these engaging tours. This week's tour features local artist and writer, Joseph Aprile.
Joseph Aprile is a resident of Seattle, Washington. He was raised in the Bronx, New York, in an exceedingly diverse environment that had a profound effect on his view of the world and humanity. Art and writing have always been an integral part of his creative life and telling stories through images and words are the avenues through which he examines the dimensions of the human spirit. If there is an underlying theme in his work, it is to explore the many facets of the human experience.
Free with museum admission. Tour meets in the fourth floor galleries, at the entrance to Ancestral Modern.
