In Performance: Afghan Music with Homayoun Sakhi and Salar Nader Notes of Tradition: Musical Expressions of Central Asia April 29, 2012 2–5 pm Stimson Auditorium

Born in Kabul to one of Afghanistan's leading musical families, Homayoun Sakhi is a young vituoso performer of the rabab (short-necked lute). He performs a special concert of Central Asian music in classical, regional folk, and popular styles, as well as new compositions with noted percussionist Salar Nader on tabla.
