School and Teacher Programs
Filled with heroes, wives, warriors and kings, the Ramayana is an amazing epic narrative that explores human values along with devotional and philosophical concepts. In this hands-on workshop, participants will explore the idea of narrative both in written and visual form. Based on personal history and inspired by the Ramayana, participants will create a short graphic novel and learn how to transfer these skills to access multiple learning styles in the classroom. Workshop participants will receive teaching materials, entrance to the exhibition Many Arrows from Rama’s Bow: Paintings of the Ramayana and three (3) Washington State Clock Hours.
