SOLD OUT Why is that art? Why is that in a museum? How much does that cost? My kid could make that! Contemporary art holds the potential to spark dynamic and complex classroom conversations exploring issues of identity, history and cultural production. In this interactive exploratory workshop, participants will analyze and discuss works of contemporary art from The Dorothy and Herbert Vogel Collection: Fifty Works for Fifty States, gaining new skills and tools for the classroom. Participants will leave inspired and equipped to integrate contemporary art into their classroom curriculum. Participants will receive four (4) Washington state clock hours, lunch, entrance to SAM galleries and free resources.
