2013 Building a Community of Thinkers Summit February 9, 2013 9 am–5 pm Entire Building

Join us for the 2nd annual Building a Community of Thinkers Summit!

The 2013 Building a Community of Thinkers Summit is a free, one-day professional development conference for all members of the community concerned with student learning in the 21st century. Participants in the summit will have the unique opportunity to explore three major guiding questions with others passionate about education reform and youth development:

• What is my role in 21st century student learning?
• How can my organization make a profound and practical difference in the lives of young people by collaborating with schools both during and after school hours?
• How do arts organizations working in and out of the school day assess student learning in the arts and evaluate their programs’ overall impact and effectiveness?

The summit focuses on evaluation and assessment in student learning and will feature national and local speakers, workshops led by members of the Building a Community of Thinkers cohort and others, and a community organization resource fair.
