The first of two lectures on Japanese art, Princeton University Professor Emeritus Yoshiaki Shimizu speaks on the paintings of Japanese artist Ikuo Hirayama in response to the WWII bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and of American artist Ben Shahn after the 1956 Bikini atoll hydrogen bomb experiment.
